Cement is an essential construction material, manufactured by burning a mixture of limestone, clay, and iron ore at temperatures up to 1,450°C. The product of this burning process is clinker — the core component of cement — which is then finely ground together with gypsum and chemical additives to produce finished cement that meets high quality standards.
